Mathis Law Group is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join our Firm.  This is a full time, remote position, with the opportunity for a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a litigation caseload, overseeing cases from beginning to end and ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis related to transportation laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations, demonstrating strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients, leveraging your expertise to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the Firm to contribute to a cohesive and supportive team environment.
• Develop and implement proactive resolution strategies, providing regular updates to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the State of Florida.
• 3-7+ years of general litigation experience.
• First and/or second chair experience highly desirable.
• Trial experience required.
• Transportation and logistics, trucking, and related regulatory experience preferred.
• Deposition and motion practice experience essential.
• Superior analytical skills and strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and fast-paced environment.
• Sophisticated technical skills necessary.
