The Sr. Legal Ethics Counsel provides guidance to members of the Bar about their ethical obligations under the District of Columbia Rules of Professional Conduct and provides staff assistance to the Legal Ethics Program (LEP) including the Legal Ethics Committee (LEC) and the Rules of Professional Conduct Review Committee (Rules Review Committee). ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Responds to high-volume, time sensitive, and often complex requests for legal ethics advice. Conducts necessary legal research and consults with the Legal Ethics Program and/or the Legal Ethics Committee chair. Makes appropriate referrals where legal ethics issues are not presented.
