Our team is seeking an attorney to join our Probate, Estate Planning, Guardianship/Conservatorship, Special Needs and Elder Law practice in one of the fastest growing retirement areas of the country - The Grand Strand! We are a small boutique firm located in Myrtle Beach that focuses on the needs of our clients. We take time to carefully listen so that we may best serve our clients’ needs and interests. Many of our clients are seniors, and we are honored to give them the opportunity to explain their life circumstances, their family history, and listen to their needs and desires. We work hard to provide the legal advice and services that suit their individual needs. We counsel them with care and compassion and help guide them through the legal process.
We are looking for someone to join us who has great respect for our seniors and understands the wisdom and value our senior clients bring with them when they seek our guidance. Our ideal candidate must have the patience to listen carefully, have a strong desire to help our clients through their legal challenges, be a positive person and enjoy helping others. Candidates must also be very organized, have a strong work ethic, ambitious, willing to learn and a team player. Attention to detail is an absolute must as well as ethically-minded, compassionate, and a good listener and communicator.
Job responsibilities:
- Meet with potential clients, assess their needs and desires, advise them on their rights and options, and offer solutions for their specific circumstances.
- Draft estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney and health care directives.
- Draft probate documents, including applications, petitions, motions, and agreements for administration purposes.
- Oversee probate administration cases from start to finish.
- Draft pleadings for guardianship and conservatorship cases, attend hearings, and manage clients and cases through conclusion.
- Assist and represent clients with special needs planning and Medicaid planning for long-term care.
- Work with firm attorneys and paralegals to insure prompt services, oversight of cases through completion, and manage all clients and cases through firm’s comprehensive case management system.

Must have SC Bar License. Prefer 3-5 years’ practice experience in one or more areas but willing to train the right candidate who has all the necessary qualifications to join our highly-concentrated, fast-growing practice.
