We're a law firm of immigrants who help clients immigrate legally. Our passion is to help businesses and people make the United States their permanent home. We're looking for an associate immigration attorney to join our incredible team in Southwest Houston.
Recognized as Houstonia's Top Lawyer and a Super Lawyers Rising Star, we are an American Immigration Lawyers Association member that helps make our client's dreams come true. With grit, determination, and perseverance, we bring substantial expertise in all areas of Employment-Based (EB) immigration, Family-Based (FB) immigration, Defense/humanitarian matters, and Investment matters.
After successful onboarding, we're open to a hybrid-remote work schedule, but you should be comfortable commuting weekly to our Southwest Houston office and The Woodlands, TX, on occasion.
Our next Immigration Associate Attorney will think creatively to improve processes, workflows, and procedures to improve the efficiency and productivity of the entire firm. We want someone ready to roll up their sleeves and work hard for the long haul. You should bring experience representing clients with their immigration needs from intake through conclusion. You should also bring leadership skills to manage clients, paralegals, and legal assistants with little supervision. We work as a team to get the job done by trusting each other to be capable & autonomous in their divisions of responsibility.
We offer generous paid time off and guide you through your very own Personal Growth Plan to help you achieve individual, professional, and financial goals that are important to you. In addition, as part of our growing team, we provide incentive-based bonuses, bar dues, AILA Membership, and pay for you to attend AILA conferences.
- Minimum of one full year of experience in Immigration Law practice.
- Preference is given to someone with a background in employment-based representation, so if you have a background in Employment-based Immigration with foreign nationals that own multiple businesses, please apply today! We also do Family-based petitions. Deportation defense is about 10% of our business.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical aptitude. You'll need to be competent in developing legal strategies for your clients.
- You prepare immigration and legal documents from inception to approval with little direction. Writing samples are required to move forward!
- An ability to engage professionally with clients in Spanish is preferred but not required.
- Excellent references and we will check them!
- Upbeat, team-centric personality - we work together to meet the firm's and client's goals.
- Should be proficient in using MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Familiarity with CRM software is preferable to manage a case from intake through outcome. You must be tech-savvy and willing to learn independently!
- Experienced in creating and operating systems and processes that increase productivity and efficiency.
